57 Wonderful Years.....and still going strong !

Oh my heavens---Pattycakes is 57 ! We celebrated in style---with food---what else is there? Pattycakes would love the 'big toy' for his birthday---but I just didn't have $5.6 million laying around yesterday. Darn !

And we were ready for winter????

We had around 13 inches of snow fall on Tuesday !! This is in additon to the 5 0r 6 inches we still had on the ground. Oh my heck ! It just kept coming ! You cannot even hardly see the Blazer parked in the driveway.

Think I have had about enough of winter !!

Ringing in 2009

Bennett turned 3 years old on December 30th. We celebrated with him and headed for Idaho on the 31st.

We felt as if we were driving into the Arctic as we got closer to Mom and Dad's ! But it was soooo absolutely beautiful !

We enjoyed being at Mom and Dad's with Brent and Little Brent(we decided he will now be known as 'Big' Brent--and Little Brent will now be known as 'Brent.) Kenny is heading to Iraq on Monday. The men were looking

Kids Really Do Say the Darndest Things !

The other day one of my seven-year-old piano students came to the door bearing a Christmas card. She shyly gave it to me and said: You can't open that until Christmas ! I said: Okay, fine--I won't ! Then she said: But you can open it right now if you want to ! I asked her if she wanted me to open it and she said: Yes. So I did. It was a cute card and inside it held a coupon for a free car wash at Supersonic Car Wash. The 'works' it said. She was smiling and said: You have a new car don't you? I said: Yes. She said: Yeah.....and it is really dirty ! You need to clean it ! I started laughing and told her that we would use this coupon to do just that very thing. Then she said to me: And don't worry that we spent money on that---we didn't !! My dad has tons of those--he gets them for free---so we just gave you one of his ! Didn't cost us a penny !
